Another for Halloween:
Outcast by Michael Romani There are those with affinity Shared brokenness cast within infinity Those who find company with the sad men And pleasure in the darkness of bad men I am one of those Self consumed and chose The man born to be the outcast A memory of the past that won't last Out of the shadow in blood frenzy Former friends pretend they don't know me As I creep in the shadows of this city Feigning that what is ugly is pretty And yet, I am born to live No matter who will not forgive We recite in two part harmony Words fallow and beckon to you and me I seek my silent place in God's solace Where the brave might stare into His face Certain of a peace that's found in the small All the details that swell until tall There in the kind touch of a hand Is perhaps the one heart to understand It's lethal that touch that brings love The kind that shines like pure sparkle from above (c) October 15, 2018 Michael Romani All Rights Reserved
