Started watching the Third Season of The Last Kingdom on Netflix today.  This is loosely based on that:

To Unite A Kingdom

The kingdom that is must not fall
The blood of sirens majestically call
For all the signs of things to come
The savage beast within roars into none

Lesser kingdoms unite to become one
And that is how England once begun
All under one God and one crown
Here on Albion's sacred ground

Even the Dane's gave way to the day
When Britannia would hold her sway
Brothers in armor stood arm in arm
Unwilling that their country should know harm

This then is the way of God and country
Where noble men fought and became legendary
Though the birthright came with some pain
Their sacrifice would not be in vain
