Will there come a day that AI becomes more human than human?  What would the implications be if AI comes to replicate itself by fusing with other AI?  What about if AI developed feelings and the desire to create as well?  What then?

In the Shimmer

Sentient beings in the shimmer
Lost in a world grown dimmer
Pain overshadows the joy
In all things that life employs

Like an angel reborn to fly
She reminds him of reasons he cries
A love half remembered in fear
The trust that love will persevere

Through a million days of rain
Behind a lonely cascade of pain
In the everything that's needed
And all the rest goes unheeded

Night's flight into going home
There where heartbreak is never alone
Shot down in that blaze of glory
When hope was for another story

Washed away in a cascade that's left
Nothing but to fade into death
That comes to call us with its call
Like a siren's song, sinking as we fall

Lost there in that thought
So many things left half forgot
Priceless, it could not be bought
The truest love always sought

Crashed like waves on that shore
Our strong desire for that something more
That returns life as we're dying
In all these tears we are crying

The secrets of that wooden horse
Were the best memories, of course
Hidden saviors from out of nowhere
Slip into the cold without despair

There's no more reason left to fight
Close your eyes gentle into the night
No more dreams or cares for tomorrow
There is beauty in this sorrow
