Knight means servant.  In today’s mockery of history, that’s overlooked.  It’s in my heritage.  Certainly, I am flawed as well.  Let’s hope that in the end the things I struggle for are remembered with greater fondness?

The Faith of the Grail

If keeping the faith of the Grail
Paves the path to horrid Hell
Is this then what Jesus would do?
And if not He; then why you?

Will man ever find his peace?
Learning the ways of love in sweet release
So caught up in the fight for power
These holy things that only bring our darkest hours

Scared we are who dare to walk this walk
Shallow breathed in things we dare to talk
Yet, standing firm in our beliefs
This is the path of purest grief

That one false rock builds his temple
In betrayal of Christ; it is this simple
Trading for worldly power while gathered in His name
True believers must serve to defend against this blame

In our courage, we stand silent and strong
To keep the Grail safe as it truly belongs
Though this truth may never be known
May our faithfulness in all ways be shown
