In many ways, I think I was fortunate in how I grew up. I had many blessings. One of these was that I must have visited Disneyland at least 100 times back when the park could be seen from main gate to every ride easily in a day’s time.
The other day, I was thinking about this and it led to a poem.
It All Began With A Mouse by Michael Romani It all began with a mouse That built a dream into a house Hidden quietly on Main Street Beside the candy shop's treats It all began with that mouse That built the house That became a castle of dreams Made as real as they seem Wished upon a shining star That traveled as fast as far Building wishes into a kingdom That from his heart did become A place of magic for all children Of every age that would transcend Creating a smaller world for us all Building bridges instead of walls (c) February 4, 2019 Michael Romani All Rights Reserved
