A Study On Passover

In the sacred time of memory
The Unleavened Bread Celebration
Is held to celebrate the family
Escaping Egypt toward their destination

Six  in the evening starts the day
As the Passover feast begins
Tuesday has come to lead the way
At the memory of slavery's end

Celebration of 790 years past
The prophecy that God would walk
The coming of the messiah cast
Palm leaves and Hosanna were the talk

King of the kings entered town
Riding atop a humble donkey
A time of tribulation coming down
A coming of an unexpected legacy 

Only not so unexpected as it was told
Rebbes and the devout had been waiting
A time of arrival as the prophecies hold
And the expectations seemed unsating

An unfolding unto the end of Palm Sunday
An Olivine discourse of coming legacy
Those things told in proverbial way
And would unfold unto the pages of history
