There are many approaches to the Cross. I would say that regardless of the argumentation as to which is most correct, if we get there and accept our salvation, we are right with God. If we’re right with God, then it doesn’t maybe really matter which is more correct.
At The Cross by Michael Romani There are many approaches to the cross None of these are at any loss But each of these are at least partially right All of these have their own points of light Christ succeeds where mankind failed Even as Satan thought he had prevailed But in His apparent death, our ransom was paid As He rose up from the tomb in which he was laid In an expansion of metaphor Satisfaction is reached and them more God gave His life in restitution To save humanity by substitution Saved from the avenging angel of death We draw our salvation in God's breath There interceded by grace and atonement We find our way to spiritual contentment Scapegoating our sins in covenant Was the avenging God of the Old Testament Our forgiveness given at the Mercy Seat But it is there that the truth of God we meet It's here that we stand between life and death In that severity that catches our breath The children of God serve in our absolution Suffering becomes a necessary part of contribution As a need for a guilt offering for us all Which has remained the same since Eden's fall To be a Holy Servant is to live for God's will And in so doing, God's truth we do reveal Here on this Sunday morning's contemplation We find the truth of our own expiration To find our way again to our deepest purity That we might we might live our lives with integrity Lured into our pleasant moments of temptation We push off past moving into our best inspiration Find our paths lead to our salvation As we walk closer finding our differences into integration (c) May 9, 2019 Michael Romani All Rights Reserved
