Lost Faces of Chernobyl

Nuclear is one of the safest and cleanest paths to provide energy.  The problem is that it takes just one disaster to stir up the worst fear.  I can’t say it’s not reasonable that it is that way.

Everwinter - From Russia With Love

Lost Faces of Chernobyl
by Michael Romani

Imagine Hiroshima blown twice an hour
Watching ashes fall as the beast devours
Radiant denials do not change facts
Even while given in desperate last acts

Some horrors are not found in the instructions
Endurance and sacrifice need no introduction
For a people who have lived more horror than joy
There is little more left than honor to employ

Soviet Russia could have such a catastrophe
Ruined lands lay fallow as its legacy
Power they say is a matter of perception
Even when based on such brutal deception

Truth comes out as it's said truth always does
It's a maxim of life ways simply because
Life is life and not what we wish it was
Truth, however ugly, comes out as it always does
