All the Beauty Heaven Bears

Probably one of the single most sad moments possible in a parent’s life is surviving the death of a child.

All the Beauty Heaven Bears
by Michael Romani

Against all sense
In a world grown dense
A child's life has ended

Incandescent and surreal
A moment far too real
A child's life is ended

A runaway sort of stumble
As if falling brick crumble
A child's life has ended

Suddenly an everything
Becomes worse than nothing
Life is surreality blended

A parent should not out live
The dreams their child gives
Life becomes surreality blended

An overwhelming sense of grief
Tortuous pain beyond belief
A child's life is ended

Coexisting with the sorrow
Trying to be brave for tomorrow
His child's life had ended

All the beauty that Heaven bears
Into the way of stars he stares
His child's life has ended
