Sins of the fathers? Matter of karma or fate? A lost sense of ethical balance? Children come into this world as blessings and deal with the corruptive influences that are out of their control. Don’t we owe them so much better? Don’t we owe ourselves to be better than this?
What of the Children? by Michael Romani What of a child born with disease How do we explain this please? Some might argue from karma and fate But, to me, this comes too late In my heart as in my simple mind It's true; no child should be left behind The sins of our forefathers have their price But that doesn't work so well as advice A beautiful child is born as they are Each and everyone of them a separate star Deserving of love and to be very blessed However found; never second guessed Each child today is born into toxic pollution None of these from any decisional contribution Love of each other should be our studied guide All systems of belief standing aside Heart over profit might be the best way out Tell me is there something better? I doubt Pharmacological patterns of disturbing corruption Have led to this body, soul and spirit disruption Pills for thrills and pills for ill come with bills All of these results of wastrel ethical spills Bringing new decided discussions to add to the old What rot have we and our children been sold?
