In the Middle of...

Life.. is as beautiful
Sometimes.. even wonderful
Then other times horrible
Feeling less than honorable
As we decide to make it
Live this gift genuinely
Please never fake it
Live this gift lovingly
As it meant to be
Focus on the joy and love
While breath of life comes from above
In the middle of all this sighing
In the middle of all of this crying
We can either live each moment
Or be lost in the torments
There in all these voices
We find so much of this is our choices
We are to be enamored with living
Loving, laughing, always forgiving
Or, we could give up trying
And find we have chosen the path of dying
Spend every day striving to feel good
Dreaming the dreams you know you would
If you believed they could be true
You'd be surprised at how many come to you
Here I stand being told of my remission
And I choose this moment to remember my mission
All of this healing and life filled with connection
Caught up in all of its best interconnections
Living each moment in hope, faith and love
Remembering each day is a blessing from above
Here in all of our infinite possibility
Ours is to live life to our fullest capability
No longer sucked into the abyss of fear
But knowing we can and will persevere 
I have learned of these things in loving you
And in so doing will live my debt of gratitude
