The thing about prayers is that while God answers them all, it is not always with a “yes”.  Sometimes it’s wait. Sometimes it’s an outright no.  At all times, we need to trust that the answer that works for God’s greater plan is the answer given.  Each answer needs to be accepted with humility.

Humbled to the stumble
Watching my world crumble
At your every goodbye wave
I am carried to my grave

At the thought of never
Being even close to clever
And never seeing you again
My lover and my friend

Locked in this gray cell
Wishing on my wishing well
Loving you with all of my ability
Needing you beyond all capability

The only thing known
Is what's been shown
Love will find its way
We'll be together someday
