Goldilocks Depth

Do you ever get lost up in all the miracles it takes to make up an average day? Or, maybe just how blessed we are to live on this Goldilocks planet where just enough is just so right as to be neither to much of one or the other but just right enough for life to thrive and be all that we know?

Salt Water Take III: Horse In the Rain

Splash Down
by Michael Romani

Music, love and beauty
All of things call to me
But, there is one central key
Without water, there'd be no you and me

It may come as a shock
But, our Earth was once just a rock
Dry and devoid of life forms
Was the way of this earth before life became the norm

Shortly after the Earth came into being
Without anyone to do any of the seeing
Water came down from deep in space
In a deluge that began life's race

The brutality of all of this rain
Strike the modern world as perhaps inane
Lasting for maybe 100 million years
As the Earth drowned in angel tears

Splash down; crash down
Icey comets filled the earth's crown
And this is what we kept
By the luck of Goldilock's depth

Rain formed our blue planet's sea
IN all of its allure and majesty
A planet we would find as just right
Provided by our bath of water and light
