Day From Night

Earth in balance requires adjustment
With multiple areas of entrustment
But trusting in whom?  Man or God?
And isn't it a bit overly odd
That with a long history of mistakes
Modern man too often embraces the heartbreaks
Of going against the grain and the flow
Of world that somehow just seems to know
Without any real reliance on mechanistic reason
How to change just exchanging seasons
As it has since the earliest of days
Long before any of mankind's ways
To both heat and then to cool
In flow of balance without man's rule
And how since the beginning of the moon
The drag of tides has called the tune
To form the basics of the twenty four hour day
Without a word of mankind's say
And to essentially get things just right
Since that moment that God divided day from night
