There’s a Netflix series called The Family.  I am only two episodes into it but so far I’m  both laughing and somewhat concerned.  The Bible admonishes Christians to pray for our leaders both spiritual and in government.  It is the Christian way.  The series is trying to paint that as dark and menacing.  My rebuke to that is if you think Christians are evil doing Christian things that we are instructed to do, maybe you need to rethink your thoughts.  Or, maybe even.. it might that if you think good is evil, perhaps you’re who is evil?

A Conspiracy of Lambs

Member to member, getting each other
Undivided in faith, sister and brother
Doing the Lord's work in the Devil's playground
The prayer of commonality is sought and found

There are some who see this as conspiracy
But if a conspiracy, there is love in the family
All politics aside and putting away pride
There is only one decision asked to decide

Do you or don't you choose to believe
The bringer of blessings for you to receive
Doing right together for world and nation
Heaven bound is not such a bad destination

Trust factors add their own value
When you replace adversity with me and you
Our hope is found in the guidance of prayer
God governs our affairs and will always be there

Clearly seeking after elusive common ground
Is where the most just answers can be found
These are the ways of our Christian family
And should stand not as conspiracy but legacy
