Felt Like Home

Home is a place of gratitude, loving appreciation and warmth.  Right?

Felt Like Home
by Michael Romani

Moments of gratitude felt like heaven
Counting our blessings over bread un-leaven
Every step feels like a new journey
With each yesterday treasured in memory

Starting life again from that which is old
Twinkled like a star from a tale needed told
Funny isn't it how the story unfolds
When nothing is bought before ready to be sold

Spices mix to add their special taste
All the finest and nothing left to waste
The marketplace adds smells and flavor
All the best that is meant to savor

It's hard to imagine children in the way
So much adding up as crossed off in our days
We battle to find our ways to the stars
Chasing dreams to fruition, no matter how far
