Based in part on 1 John 1:9:
Rocky Road To Faith by Michael Romani There are so many times we scoff in pride Looking at God's will far from the outside Believing our own path and our will be done Instead of walking the path of our Father's son As we walk our path we see many choices to make At times we are unclear on which road to take It is truly our decision whether we will obey When we don't it surely brings trouble our way Stumbling among the rocks we find on our road We stubbornly want do as we will and not be told Allowing no one to tell us how we should live We do as we want hoping on God's grace to forgive So many times we hear the opinions of choice A clattering of ignorance given in full voices Too many of us walk our walk in full ignorance Of God's principles and laws in our self importance We force our lives often falling face forward Instead of taking the time required by the Lord Along the way we have lost all semblance of trust Though, as it so often turns our, we really must As we leave the troubles caused by our obstinance We must faithfully allow God to take the consequence Instead of trusting in the scripture we should heed We turn to ourselves in satisfying our every need The trick of this journey is one so simply sublime It must be taken step by step one at a holy time Trusting that God knows what's just around the bend We walk only as far as God shines and on Him we depend (c) September 23, 2109 Michael Romani All Rights Reserved
