Too many people have forgotten the processes of empirical observation and its accompanying reasoning as the basis for real science.  This insistence of substituting in dogma and speculation in the name of a hijacked science and failure to adhere to the rules of rational discussion are making society volatile in its dumbing down.  Word games and semantics have replaced seeking after truth.  Sadly, it’s bound to get worse before it gets better.

In Defense of Human Reason

Too many words are fanciful and ill defined
Spoken as expressions of the ill refined
Meant as expression of the all too ordinary
But, missing the points in ways extraordinary

Yet, scientific materialism is false and inconsistent
Despite sticking in our culture as if persistent
With their sweeping denials of our every day
The religion of science has gotten in its own way

Man is a creature driven by laws of matter and force
And ideologies that too often have run their course
Mankind's search for all of our essential meanings
Is what distinguishes the greater from lesser beings

It's often a crisis of both concepts and truth
As the modern world abandons the civilization of our youth
We who stand in this wafting often mindless season
Stand as prophets in the defense of common human reason
