Halloween poem #7
In A Monster's Waltz by Michael Romani May the lost souls be found No matter how or how unsound Too long happiness has been elusive For those rejected and now reclusive Frankenstein each of us in our calamity Darers to still dream in our legacy Whatever misfortunes and mischance Let us again dare to still dance Castaway as if cast together A Mephistophelian Waltz; no better Sheltered in our dance of lies We seek our best in each other's eyes Quiet conversation on a stormy night We've seen the worse and no longer know fright Darkness may have erased our humanity But, we won't allow it to take our last dignity (c) October 7, 2019 Michael Romani All Rights Reserved
