Halloween Poem #14 (written on 10/13/2019 so really number 13.. how unlucky that I fell behind on posting like that….or as my little girls say.. “Or, did I?”)
Twist of the Kissed by Michael Romani We prize the things most When we've lost them Soulless, ethereal as ghost Our inner light grows dim Nightwork spills its blood Knowing so very little grace Instead wallowing in the mud Turned about on its face Shadow falls from the window With its hand pressed on the wall Dark as death's true rainbow We await the master's call The house of the dark night Lies in its tragedy of sight Man and monster, both with a twist Misguided love served so venomously kissed (c) October 13, 2019 Michael Romani All Rights Reserved
