Halloween Poem #12:
Dracula's Bride by Michael Romani The master does not want as she has given Feasted into blood, never to be forgiven An eternal kiss shared in the late night As betrayer of truth and hater of light All the night creatures live to come out Lifting unreasoned voices into a shout Coming out at the bidding to have their play Hoping wantonly for this chance to slay Beware the swift scorpion's dreaded sting All the poison and the death it brings A spider's fly on walled web does stick Burnt down into the candle's quick The city like a graveyard holds death As the horror of fate takes away breath There is no good to come from all of this The souls of angels betrayed with his kiss Darkness as a wedding gift for Dracula's bride Who chose to be herself for the sake of pride No one is left to remember yesterday as it was Because simply, wicked is as wicked does (c) October 16, 2019 Michael Romani All Rights Reserved
