In honor, respect and much appreciation for those who follow my work from India, I wish you one and all a very happy Diwali!

May these illuminating Diwali lights surround you and your loved ones with happiness and positivity. Happy Deepawali!
In honor of this Sunday being the main day as I understand this, I ventured to an Indian place to get dinner tonight. Not 100% certain but believe the eggplant based curry dish ate tonight is called Gutthi Vankaya Curry. Word to the wise for those who are not pepper friendly.. even made mild the peppers were intense. But, a promise had been made to someone very significant to me to try to eat more of a plant based diet.. so there you are!
Traditionally, a lot of sweets are ate on this day. Hopefully next year my blood sugar levels will be dealt with and this can be attempted. The treats certainly looked yummy.
For those who are neither Hindu nor knowledgeable of Hindu traditions, please know that this day symbolizes the spiritual “victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance”.
And again,
Shubh Diwali!!
