A poem of thankfulness #13:
Walking In Thankfulness by Michael Romani There in the goodness that is the God-ness That waltzes right past guilt into innocence With the grammar of faith we talk our talk Knowing that thankfully, we'll walk our walk It's a prepositional thought of our place When we think of finally meeting God face to face It's there in the poetry and in the prose Life as a love letter we might pre-suppose So many points of light we hold in deference Certain that the ways of God are our preference Saved from the shame and pain of my own sin Struggling back to repentance again and again So very thankful that in my woeful needs God saves me for His good purposes and deeds Putting my hand firm on the heavenly plow And somehow muddling through for the better somehow I stand amazed looking into the mirror's glass Knowing that my moment of doubts will move and pass Grateful that He changed this taker into a giver Holding fast to the truth of God as my forgiver Life has proven that God's dwelling place is with man And this very notion that helps me be the best I can Having received the gift of God's redemptive salvation It is with humble gratitude that I keep this in my contemplation (c) November 13, 2019 Michael Romani All Rights Reserved
