A poem in gratitude for community #14:
In Gratitude for Community by Michael Romani Thinking back on the days of birds singing Always certain of what my life would be bringing Dragon flies buzzing along a cool pond breeze And lemonades shared under waterside shade trees These vivid memories carry with them strong feelings Of times spent with friends and send my head reeling From the thoughts of simpler times filled with gratitude I was happier then social ties given humble latitude Always having time and being allowed to be my self Be it sipping there with friends or reading from the shelf Blessed as I was with that a multitude of connection The community I grew up with helped shape my best direction It's there I learned the ways of connection to my source And finding my way through everything as a matter of course I grew a strong sense of familiarity in that community Where I grew up with good friends, time and my family (c) November 14, 2019 Michael Romani All Rights Reserved
