Today is not only the first day of Advent but is also the National Day of Christmas Lights.

It is with this in mind that I offer the following poem:
Tis The Season of Holiday Lights by Michael Romani Tis the season of holiday lights Gems of magic that brighten our nights A thousand points to lighten our skies As we all look up with excited eyes It's the season of Christmas fun On this December 1st, it has begun With candlelit hearts we sing our songs Knowing with joy where we all belong Bundled up to keep the chill air out Presented with loving warmth all about We give our share to help angel wings grow As we peer out into the nighttime's glow Frosty days and ice chilled nights Are all helped along with Christmas lights Sugar-plumb wishes of icy winter filigree With eyes opened wide with the season's glee There are no better days to come but these Where strings of magic synchronize and please Children of all ages from one to ninety-three Know that holiday lights enchant us with their beauty (c) December 1, 2019 Michael Romani All Rights Reserved
