Mutts Rule

If you find yourself in a rut
And you need some more step in your strut
Find your way downtown
To the local dog pound
And pick yourself up a mutt

What you'll find there 
Or, so it does truly appear
To be more than just precisely clear
Is a whole lot of love to hold dear
And laughter until you're in tears

Some beautiful wiry sort of mix
With a heartful of love and tricks
Greetings at the door
Of a thousand licks
That will always leave you wanting more

She'll always come when you call
Chasing a make believe rabbit formed as a ball
There with every bouncity, bounce
Tail curled high and standing tall
You'll never find truer love, ounce for ounce

You see, all dogs are way beyond cool
But, the truth is that mutts rule
There is something in their humble step up
That tells of a drink from the winners cup
When you listen up to cool mutt school
