Today is, of course, Christmas Eve. As such Happy Christmas Eve to everyone from Aloha Promises Forever to each and everyone kind enough to spend a little time reading this blog of sorts. It’s much appreciated.

Christ As Cornerstone by Michael Romani Spending time this year's Christmas Eve Reflecting mostly on those things I believe There in the glint of the tree's lights I find the open secret of this night As long as you have Christ as cornerstone You are never really truly ever alone As long as you have Christ as cornerstone You are and will always be at home The twinkle lights and tinsel bring the shine To this fir Christmas Tree of fragrant pine Outside the window, snow is falling on the ground Inside carols and jingle bells are the sound Reflecting on how we as Christians have our place Replanted in Eden, we have our purpose to embrace No longer windblown dust, but in life spent eternal Turning our eyes and hearts to Heaven over the infernal This Earth we live on in our time has its sting As the Adversary chases our souls like puppets on a string But when we find our hearts to our forever rightful place We turn around to find God's love beaming in our face Firm ground taken in a bountiful, beautiful kingdom God walked among us when He came to save all not just some Until we realize this, we are strangers passing on through Taking on the garments of salvation freely given me and you Feeling like strangers sometimes living lives in exile Until Christmas Eve rolls around as we remember why we smile This gives our lives its profound sense of true freedom As we take our rightful places in our Father's kingdom We are children of the eternal, grafted onto the true vine God's gift shared like the greatest treasure we might mine Picking ourselves up after we are battered by life's storm We raise upright into the glory of the Son, becoming cruciformed (c) December 24, 2019 Michael Romani All Rights Reserved
