Sudden Comfort of Intimacy

There is a certain joy in a young girl’s heart whose imagination overflows into a comfort that is hard to define and amazing to experience.

Tyraina - A Mother Gives Comfort In the Storm

Sudden Comfort of Intimacy
by Michael Doyle

You cannot buy loyalty
Set at the table like family
A heart races like a train
Ever forward against the strain

Imagination is sometimes best
When life puts you to the test
Suffered in full indignity
Pulse raising in anxiety

Caught up in the living
We rise above the ordinary giving
Approving of who we are
Even while wishing on that proverbial star

Bursting with curiousity
Looking at the world wistfully
There is so much to know
As each new day ebbs and flows

The tale teller has a tongue
Of her own; With ears of spirit song
Ecstatic beyond on all measure
Each turned moment, its own treasure

As an endless stream of words flow
A daughter becomes a friend as she grows
These things looked forward too in anticipation
All the comings and goings of imagination

There in the never so much minding
Is to speak of a lifetime until finding
The heart open to be set free
In the sudden comfort of intimacy
