Handling A Bad Day
by Michael Doyle

Slewfoot raises to destroy
Always out to kill your joy
If you serve God, you endure
The temptations for sure

Brave hearts without fear
Through our prayers, keep God near
Always practiced so sincere
This  faith of mine remains clear

Approaching life with integrity
I thank the Lord for the clarity
Of knowing that we will be right
Walking in God's healing light

Finding heart on my old knees
I seek only to do what will please
Listening to what God will speak
I'll climb to the top of the peak

Seeking after our great courage
Even in times that do discourage
Fighting against our sad inclination
We hold on despite our desperation

Sometimes this is from our choices
Other times, it takes away our voices
Through no fault really of our own
We are so blessed to know we're not alone

Giving to God  in our supplication
The burdens of our daily temptation
Thankful for our joy and gratitude
Affixed to our lives our right attitude
