Feelings Felt That Night

Poem Number 5 in the retelling of a classic story of a werewolf event in the life of an otherwise uneventful village:

Feelings Felt That Night
by Michael Doyle

The feelings felt surpass right and wrong
It is more a sense of what belongs
There it is to seal with a kiss
The ways of desire no knave would miss

Laid back on hay by the fire
Our bodies call in their desire
Passion fills this night's air
Where want and hunger surpass despair

Lovers hide out not to be found
While forbidden wants are chased around
Lured into a soul's revealing
Nothing stops the love that is compelling
