God’s words fill our souls like some sort of universal melody at times.

Faithful and Good

Faithful and good in what you do to me
Filling my heart with your melody
Every beat of my heart is steadfast and true
Forever your spoken word has delivered me in you

Faithful and good you've stood in my absolution
Asking only my obedience as my contribution
With your words of love, you've brought atonement
I can't begin to tell you just how much that's meant

Some times it's hard for me to believe
All of your goodness is hard to conceive
That you would take my place to save
Suffering the three days of darkness in the grave

Raising up to provide my redemption
Your love finds me in contemplation
As your sacrifice has made its way
There at Calvary on that merciless day

Taking that beating for us, one and all
Wept tears are mine, each time I recall
How it is that your love is so steadfast
And how with your sacrifice, my salvation is cast

Forever standing completely in my awe
How you gave yourself for the price of us all
Desperate as I've been as my vision has blurred
I've only found focus in the clarity of your Word

At times, I have felt my soul shaken
Clinging to life, I've barely awaken
There have been times, my heart was breaking
In need of your love, my soul has been shaking

Knowing my truth worth in you, faithful and good
Down on my knees, defeated until I've understood
That it is only you that is worthy of praise
I've chosen your yoke to wear until the end of my days

So much for my malingering procrastination
Come have your way with my full salvation
You have moved me steadfast into this place
And I, as your servant, beg for your saving embrace
