Life goes on despite having someone mouth off doesn’t it?
Last Chance by Michael Doyle Tell me now, Do you have the cognizance That you might somehow Understand the fruits of consequence And when God speaks to you Dropped like a ton of bricks What language does He use for you Or, are you just agitated by a thousand pinpricks As you signed your name Walking right over top of me The seeds you've sown will leave you lame That's putting it politely In all of your patent insanity Displayed by your own hand Drawn into nothing less than your vanity It's become easy to understand That your indiscretions are widely known But mostly known by God above Your true self is long since revealed as shown So stop pretending you know anything of love I have left you stone cold and away For you to make your own path Those that know me best care little for what you say One plus one is not too complex of math Don't forget that I know who you are Or how I prayed for you and stayed for you Going so far as to create in you a star So, instead of lies, perhaps you should tell things true Have you realized yet how far you've gone That you're hurting others with your games It's to the point that I won't allow it to go on Enough of your lies and calling me names You have confessed you do this out of sheer hate You are on record acknowledging your bed of lies So stop please before it's way too late And there's a judge looking straight into your eyes Greedy ways sometimes gets the very best And you, my former friend, have failed the test Life is not to be play as if it's a game And when you lose, it's only yourself to blame Last chance...
