Musing My Articulation

Autumn Dreams - Music Has My Soul
Musing My Articulation
by Michael Doyle

Filled with intense moments of suspense
Put aside as real and yet it's just pretense
There is the much to do about all these things
Musical, be it instrumental or songs I sing

I approach forward in my matriculation
Looking at establishing motifs and articulation
Single notes determined in attack and decay
It's how sound changes and travels they say

Swelled up as it were in its amplitude
Grounded in perhaps undeserved attitude
I have no choice but to say with latitude
That to all who came before, I owe my gratitude

The tone colors play well in their timbre
Much as I feel deep inside as I remember
All of these textures provided by chosen adjustment
Sound to me as though these are heaven sent

Comparable to or similar to the oratory
I find my articulation of voice quite exploratory
Standards varied, conquered with flourish, hidden in composition
To myself, I am true, even in my musical notations
