To Truly Win

What does it mean to truly win
And in explaining this, where we do begin
It is the servant king who in humility
Gives to each follower and person their dignity

Going back to the basics of the cross
We find victory and not our loss
Following the way that Jesus in His ways
Grants us the blessings in our days

Winning is not a matter of possession
Nor it is the fixation of our obsessions
It's the miracle of giving love away
And that no matter how much you give, it stays

To serve others is the wisest path
The practice of the servant leader does this math
Of understanding these sorts of things
And all of the meaning these actions bring

To truly win, you must finally surrender
To the ways of God, and in so doing, tender
That the putting of our will aside to live God's will
This is the winning edge that pays the ultimate bill

We are here to live together, serving one another
Remembering that each person is a sister or brother
It is in and with this respect for dignity
That each of us finds our only true authority

Selfless in thinking of others with humility
This is the truest way of emulating divinity
Set apart as the Church of serene holiness
Is the winning of rising above life's loneliness

This then is the winning and best game plan
Living love humbly and serving where you can
When you love God and neighbor with all your heart
Then you, my friend, are off to a very fine start
