Revival
by Michael Doyle
Moving past day-to-day survival
Praying for our nation's revival
Miracles out of nowhere displayed
Even if somewhat a bit delayed
The Holy Spirit moves us forward
Never retreating but ever toward
The spiritual awakening we find
Salvation wants no one left behind
Reviving the lowly and contrite
Turning our wrongs into right
Keeping our sights where they belong
It's for revival that we long
Waking from the slumber that catches all
A return to the fire, no longer dull
We move our zeal into vitality
As we renew our obedient spirituality
It's what our desperate nation needs
As so many feel abandoned even as they bleed
Recognizing the real in our daily journey
We must keep faithful to our destiny

This could have been written about what happened last Thursday when I met my son in the park with his helpers. Thank you.
