Na/GloPoWriMo #9: The Covid Vaccination To Do List

It's spreading out
Across this nation
I've had my doubts
But, time for the second vaccination

That then is list one
And now that it is done
It's time for second up
Since I've drunk this winning cup

After a bit of a wait
It is time to coordinate
A long drive up to Michigan lake
For a long walk and visual take

I promised my girls to survive
And it's time and I am alive
List item...set at two
An abandoned theater and lakeside view

Item up as number three
And maybe it is just for me
But to let them always truly know
I love them from the word 'go'

Then again, that was also item one
And only forgotten as it is already done
As I sit here in the waiting room
My heart lifting from its gloom

Item four: lunch with the two of them
As I sit here with almost no symptoms
Every moment has its own celebration
Greeted with this sailor's fascination

Item Five:  Take that final examination
After a long day spent post vaccination
Taking in all the reasons for relief
With no immune system, thankful there is no grief

Just the feeling of satisfaction
That I have taken all needed action
To do my part and to do my duty
Now, it's time to appreciate life's beauty
