Na/GloPoWriMo #19: St Patrick’s Day Kiss

Na/GloPoWriMo #19: St Patrick's Day Kiss
by Michael Doyle

Like a lucky man wondering if

You'd always be
My lucky charm
Living in a moment's bliss
It was easy to see
Another kiss could do no harm

Gotta phone that message in
Let it ring true, again and again
Long distance strikes at connection
All the same it lends affection
Doing our solitary in isolation
Until we find that choice destination

Where together begins its walk
And love is more than talk
Two hearts beat in that together
Needing the love of the better
Seen in each other's loving eyes
Where intention meets our sighs

Where our hands begin to meet
Is the the touch to my heart, so sweet
Finding love on an old Irish street
Your song knows my soul and is complete
In your cup of sweetness I need to borrow
I will gladly return this to you in our tomorrows
