Na/GloPoWriMo #30: While By Rhyme We Say Goodbye
by Michael Doyle
Moving ever toward
By inching forward
In a sideways slide
Where up tells down to hide
Life becomes its hide and seek
Though we remain afraid to speak
Words we really want to say
The truths that get us through our days
Legends tell us of our prophecy
Tiny peeks at what we want to see
Even if we are all slightly broken
We remain fresh and quite outspoken
Thirty days of rhymes led astray
Well played as these were day by day
And now that time has come to fly
While by rhyme we say goodbye
Raised as toast and mighty cheer
That is at least until next year
Where once again well share a word or two
Given to poetry as we always do
