Once There Was A Beginning

Where Our Journey Begins - Summer of 21 - Remembrance of Beginnings
Once There Was A Beginning
by Michael Doyle

Once there was a beginning
Where two could end up winning
A smile shared on a sunny day
You really shook my blues away

Your two lips were surely meant for kissing
And now here we are caught in reminiscing
Thinking on all the countless days gone by
Time that has elapsed since we first said hi

We don't question the happiness of today
Some things, we know, tides won't wash away
Where it is that love meets and simmers mellow
Like a summer day spent in a willow's shadow
