Ode To A Low Key God of Mischief
by Michael Doyle
Sinister plans thicken the plot
Allusions to brutality are too often sought
There in the hinterland outside of time
In a spit shot that feels less than sublime
Absorbing the heart of stars outshined
Into the infinity cast into the refined
Chaos in the character of raging arrogance
Condemned as it were in a purgatory of happenstance
It's there in the infinite shades of mediocrity
That paint their allusions of outpaced autocracy
Prolonging the pain of one's too many mistakes
And living in the shadows of life's heartbreaks
A monochrome theme paints out the outcast scene
Of intensity within a god's dystopian dreams
Umber envelops itself into discordant earth hues
Brashly unfazed in it's pruning of distant views
Of those fractured branches of so called reality
Nightmares otherwise known in their place of locality
There in the in fever pitch of a new playing field
Is the drop of the bombs and their irradiant yield
