Storybook Kind of Love
by Michael Doyle
She wants a storybook
Kind of love –
Only she wants it
With dirty pictures
It only took one look
To dream along the something of –
Need, …craven at first bite
Her painted lights hypnotized my mind
She was a Sunday worship
Kind of dazzling princess
With her high heels left on
Behind the mask for the taking
Hoping my rook could take the kingship
Because she was looking priceless
With all her movements turned on
And not the kind others could be faking
Coloring my world with her broken
Crayons scrawling things unspoken
Affections given meant beyond token
With screen shots that won’t phase me
Stolen moments always feel golden
Filled with silent screams of passion
We’d each be so lucky by attraction
Fallen together she is my favored distraction
