Dressed In Humility

Dressed In Humility
by Michael Doyle

Dressing myself in humility
Composed by heart for good of family
Willingly accepting life's true grace
Facing all things with a smile on my face

Humility is in no way weakness
This strength of character is God given
Being humble is not undoing meekness
But the power of being among the forgiven

Being humble is not low self-esteem
Or the giving up to any humiliation
All of God's children are to live with intention
It's not a God thing to think without discretion

That talking down to others is a negative
And not the power that Christ gives us to know
His love and grace are not simply the superlative
But a candle to live by present in God's glow

Each of us are a masterpiece of His creation
Made by our creator to live in His eternity
Illuminated more by the invisible light of divinity
Our lives are but a dot of time in true history
