The Difference

The difference between
A man and a king
Is that a king
Can face what the future will bring

For all of the goodness
And all of the sorrow
Through all of the madness
That may come tomorrow

And still, he stands in tallness
To the full of his height
Despite the cruelty and smallness
That blots out the darkest night

Still keeping to his plan
Whatever obstacles get in his way
Staying as firm as he can
No matter the harshness some may say

This then makes the difference between
A man and a king
That the man becomes the king
By facing and conquering whatever life may bring
