River Rain

River Rain
by Michael Doyle

As a gift from the Creator
The rain fills into the river
Bringing new life just begun
With a toss of dice, it's won

Like a raindrop fills the creek
Words become love we dare to speak
Spilling out like a timeless river
Into the ocean's depths delivered

Anticipation of a rain river
Makes lovers shake and shiver
Becoming oceans from streams
A mother smiles as a father dreams

Questions asked fill a dreamer's head
Like the book of life waiting to be read
Into the best of lives, rain will fall
And if you listen close, love will call

Simply tested like a theory
A child's voice calls out in query
Repining back into the past
Love like dice have been cast

Anticipation of a rain river
Makes lovers shake and shiver
Becoming oceans from streams
A mother smiles as a father dreams

Like a raindrop fills the creek
Words become love we dare to speak
Spilling out like a timeless river
Into the ocean's depths delivered

As a gift from the Creator
The rain spills into the river
Bringing new life as love just begun
Handheld lovers spy the rising sun

Anticipation of a rain river
Makes Lovers shake and shiver
Becoming oceans from streams
A mother smiles as a father dreams
