To Yet Believe

Fantasy Faire - Isle of Shadows - Shipwrecked Under A Blue Sun
To Yet Believe
by Michael Doyle

Confused by shadows
We wonder at what we know
To the heavens and to below
We feint at what we might know

Perhaps spoken dreams
Are our best quests
The impossible, so it seems
Gives us our best tests

To fight to right the wrongs
To keep trying when weary
The heart of the dreamer belongs
To the best and not the leery

Destiny yet reveals and calls
To the brave hearts of glory
One more dream that we must recall
Bringing the end of this knight's story

A prayer falls as if a flowing tear
When earnest hearts find their home
At the end of all our passing years
And Heaven is made his final home

The greatest gift one might give
Is the courage to the down-at-heart
That they, too, might believe and live
As they should have from the start
