Perpetual Providence

In God's perpetual providence
We are always seeking His guidance
Asking God for aid in making our decisions
That we know His preferences with greater precision

God is a constant companion wherever we go
However we travel; whether by will or by flow
Speaking to our hearts in all that we do
And all things that we wander our way through

We're never lost with God at our side
No matter the blows to our earthly pride
Nothing is hidden and all is revealed
The truth is the light making all unconcealed

God's presence brings the peace in our tempest
It is His presence that helps us in every test
In all of our battles we fight with God's power
Every minute of our lives are within His hour

In all of our struggles we are always finding
That God is our light, however the darkness is blinding
Nothing in this world can hold more power
When God is the beacon of light in our darkest hours

This creates a hunger for God's Word to be read
So that His wisdom shines and are more readily lead
Word-by-word is spent in reverent meditation 
That brings the answers in constant revelation

What a joy there is in filling up our hearts
It's the Holy Spirit that never departs
Always our focus is on God's direction
With our hearts wide open to guidance and correction

Living in obedience, we walk in our blessings
Giving God the credit and not spent guessing
Though realizing our need for false independence
We become aware of our true Godly dependence

Prayers become a greater priority
As we realize the fruits of our legacy
Finding hope in all things great and small
We our children of God; please do well and recall
