Passing the Ball

Passing the ball down the court
Make the basket or adjust
There is only win or not win on that court
Making it like Muhammed Ali or bust

There are the top-of-the-line schemers
True shooters and relaying daydreamers
Like filthy McNastys claiming their fame
Because winning is the only game

It's the dream of dreams to be had
With only one goal, to be happy, not sad
Then the aerial that takes to the air
Floats like a dream that lives to dare

All the younger players need that GPA
It's more meaningful than the NBA
It's all about going beyond aspiration
And begins with taking it further than inspiration

You gotta take your best shot
Passing that test with all that you have got
Pulchritudinous in all of its charms
Sometimes B-Ball takes all five alarms

That is how it is, one game at a time
However easy it is to take the simple rhyme
It's all-in with the steps we make
With every effort had and every moment we take
