Truth Becomes A Life

Looking at life in its full-length
We find our hold on truth is our strength
Without truth, life is merely a stumble
With all around us in a constant crumble

This is happening throughout our land
As I pray to the Lord that we understand
We must not live lose truth or our kindness
Instead binding these to us instead of blindness

Choosing that we might clearly see
How our character must remain and be
As we interact with and toward one another
Living this love justly with each other

Any other path leads to futility
As it embraces every sort of impurity
We are to put ourselves into abiding truth
Blessed are those who have since youth

To do so, we must understand truth's meaning
In doing this, we correspond within our being
In knowing how it is, that is the way things are
Not hiding in our feelings but clinging to the North Star

Truth in our life builds our protection
Keeping to righteousness, even in correction
Learning what is wrong in order to keep right
We are anchored in God's Word and living in God's sight

Having the wisdom needed to know the path to go
Not just drifting along with society's ebb and flow
Truth is our strength and is our foundation
It gives us the courage to live through God's explanation

Paul was hated for telling truth by Godly motivation
Inspiring his followers to live with reverent inspiration
There can be no coddling when it comes to this
To lie about this would cause salvation to be missed

Truth is our comfort in avoiding the ungodly consequence
Of following the wrong path through Satan's pretenses
Bringing faith to the truth by which we can walk
And in the the every word that our mouths find to talk

We know that Jesus comes to this world as the truth and light
Given as He is, a gift, sent to teach us wrong from right
Through His guidance, we find our way to spiritual maturity
And on the path of righteousness for all of eternity

There is no greater truth for us walk in and to live
Than to seek out God's truth that He so freely gives
Being honest with ourselves when we sometimes live lies
And letting its consequences be known without surprise

Letting the Word of God illuminate us in all our ways
As we move forward into the folly too often in our days
We become practiced in living out the holiness of consequence
Allowing only God's truth to shine and as having relevance

We ask that God allow that our desire for truth increase
And letting our hesitation for this to only decrease
As we earnestly seek His holy truth out and identify
Any un-truth we might have come to inadvertently sanctify

When we know that we should follow what it is that God says
And then following this unto the ends of our very last days
God's Word builds personhoods of character and integrity
Purposing our reliability as what is our lasting legacy

Truth is the bottom line we must strive to always live
Eternal life is the promise and reward that God can give
Man's sinful condition is what brought Christ to the cross
Each person must understand this or it is truly to their loss
