The Freedom Agenda

I read the headlines to my great consternation
That Newsome and others would change our constitution
The thoughts of over my dead body come to mind
It's time we leave such foolish thoughts behind

It's not enough to simply win these elections
But we must help head America in the right direction
Presently, there is a great need for course correction
That wouldn't escape a blind man's detection

Some of us are Christians, conservatives, and then republican
And as such we seek the policies right for all Americans
Big government and big business have locked arms in the attack
Taking our freedoms away to the point they won't come back

Liberal policies are a disaster for the course of this nation
The extent of this disaster almost defies rational explanation
While our borders are almost nonexistent and energy is a crisis
That is manmade, while Bidenomics has inflated all prices

While our nation's strength has been weakened and even broken
To the crying point of shame that leaves enemies outspoken
This is a time when our students need the best of education
And instead receive a blanketing, grievous indoctrination

Unvarnished truth can be seen plainly through the nation
Where the pain felt by the People is openly seen for inspection
Our freedoms and our way of life are held at knifepoint
By spurious election procedures by those who self-anoint

Holding themselves out as somehow the elite over the masses
While they burn our cities down into a pile of ashes
Smoldering under policies that work less than might be desired
It's as if this is their hope like haters of America inspired

And we the People know that it is up to us to push back strong
To strive for the right rather than be saddled with the wrong
God's timing comes day to the day after each election day
When we must set in motion the path back to the American way

Returning our nation to the first principles of the founding
And finding America persistent and patiently rebounding
It was these sets of ideals that set America's prosperity
And it is for our children we must fight for this legacy

America's heritage of freedom works if we will only let it
These are not just words but truth and we must not forget it
Everyday under the tyranny of Biden provides us with evidence
That, indeed, the fight for ideas and ideals have consequence

The Bible teaches that where vision is missing, people perish
Understanding this key underlies the America that I cherish
The path ahead needs it vision to be one of open articulation 
If we are to strive forward for the good of our freeborn nation

This vision must always be grounded in our highest set of ideals
If we are to make our best efforts fruitful and faithfully real
Now more than ever we must decide who it is we are and will be
And then approach these values with compassion and quite ably

With this in mind we can find our way to much needed liberty
Bringing together the best virtues held within our integrity
These are the questions that lead us to fight for this victory
Grounded with determination and quiet, steady, dignity
