Each Moment’s Thankfulness

Tequila Bae Beach - A Meditation On Sunny Pleasures
Each Moment's Thankfulness
by Michael Doyle

In this world folded into blindness
Too many have forgotten kindness
I think it begins with gratitude
Looking on the world with right attitude

Before this, there is the participation
That slowly seeps into relaxation
Peace comes with every breath taken
Allowing this feeling to not be shaken

In finding gratitude, we find happiness
This is the moment first filled with bliss
Connecting to each breath, we find the pace
The pace that knows its own loving embrace

Shoulders and body soften into the now
As we exhale the tension of the somehow
Simply being only in this moment of seeing
In the appreciation of being simply a human being

It is the what of who we are meant to be
And simply seeing what we are meant to see
Thankful for all that comes to fulfill life
And easing our way out of self-made strife
